Pull up foundations: a 30 day course


How to build the awareness, mobility, and strength you need to eventually pull yourself up.

Have you always wanted to build the strength needed for pull-ups, but don't know where to start? This course will teach you foundations of motor control, mobility, and strength you need to eventually achieve a pull-up. You will receive:

  • 5 workouts a week for 4 weeks (3 practices that require access to a bar and 2 optional bodyweight practices)

  • A thorough and comprehensive overview of shoulder mechanics and how the pull-up actually works

  • Access to two weeks of additional programming once the course ends

  • More endurance, body awareness, and strength

You need:

  • Access to a secure bar you can swing from

  • A towel if you practice on hardwood or paper plates if you practice on carpet

  • Two yoga blocks or books

  • A wooden dowel 

  • 20-60 minutes a day (practices vary in length depending upon which set/rep scheme you use)

  • An open, curious mind and patience

The Art of Cueing: A 3 week course for teachers and coaches


Learn how to effectively use your words and improve your teaching

In this online course, designed to be completed in 3 weeks, you will learn how to become more effective with your words. How you cue and why you are choosing to cue a particular way will be explored through practical examples and written and video exercises. This course is perfect for personal trainers, yoga teachers, Pilates instructors, and coaches who want to improve their ability to choose the right cue for the right person. Students will learn:

  • Knowledge of performance/process

  • How to use fewer words and still get the client to accomplish the task

Creating Stability for Hypermobility

Join me for a three hour live workshop and 15 minute accompanying lecture on hypermobility. Mobility exists on a spectrum and is determined by a number of factors, including genetics and training history. This course focuses on those who have large degrees of mobility and how to create a training environment that allows them to thrive You will learn:

  • How to effectively provide kinesthetic feedback using props (and why it matters)

  • The value in finding the sensation of work

  • How to create the sensation of stability using a variety of tools

  • How to structure progressions, creating a safe, effective path to strength and controlled mobility

  • Interactive exercises that can be used as warm-ups or an adjunct to a traditional training program.

This workshop will involve movement and partner work, so please be prepared to move while you learn.
